Fire AMC for Schools and Nurseries in Dubai
A school is full of children for hours each day. Alarms must sound. Exits must open. Extinguishers must work. A fire AMC checks these things on a plan, so nothing is left to chance.
Pacific Power is a Dubai Civil Defence approved fire contractor. We hold DCD Grade B approval and work under ISO 9001:2015. This guide is for school owners, principals, and facility managers. It explains what a school AMC covers and how to ask for a quote. Our Fire Annual Maintenance Contract page explains the full contract.
What Does a School Fire AMC Cover?
The contract follows the equipment in your school.
- The fire alarm panel, detectors, call points, and sounders.
- Extinguishers in classrooms, corridors, labs, and canteens.
- Emergency lights and exit signs.
- Sprinklers, pumps, hose reels, and risers, where installed.
We list every item in the contract. You pay only for what the school has.
Why Do Schools Need Their Own Plan?
Children need more time to leave a building. They also need clear, simple exit routes. A school can have many blocks, labs, and a canteen. Each area has its own equipment.
New classrooms are often added over the years. The alarm must grow with the building. Our guide on smoke and heat detectors in schools explains which detector fits which room.
How Can Visits Avoid Class Time?
The visit plan is part of the contract. You and the contractor agree the days and times. Many schools prefer afternoons or holidays. Ask for this in writing before you sign.
What Does the Technician Check?
The technician tests the alarm and looks for fault signals on the panel. Detectors are tested room by room on a sample basis. Extinguisher tags and gauges are checked. Emergency lights and exit signs are tested on battery. The report lists each fault it finds.
Out of date extinguishers can be refilled or replaced through our extinguisher service.
What Can Your Facility Team Check Each Month?
Your own team can add a simple monthly walk.
- Exit doors open freely from the inside.
- Corridors and stairs are clear.
- Extinguisher gauges show the green zone.
- Exit signs are lit.
- The alarm panel shows no fault signal.
Keep a log of each walk. Share it with your contractor. It shows that the school watches its own safety.
Which Faults Appear in Schools?
- Detectors damaged or covered in classrooms.
- Extinguishers moved, missing, or past their date.
- Corridors blocked by furniture or boxes.
- New rooms without matching detectors.
- Old batteries in the panel.

How Do Records Help a School?
Owners, inspectors, and the authority may ask for maintenance records. A dated report from each visit answers them. See the DCD Istifa certificate guide to learn where records matter. For the wider rules, read our post on fire safety arrangements for schools.
What Changes the Price?
